Privacy Policy

LAST UPDATED: JULY 2026

1. Introduction

Arct Technology LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") developed Cadence Sensor, an Apple Watch application that turns your watch into a live cycling cadence (RPM) sensor and streams that cadence to your iPhone and to Bluetooth fitness and VR apps. This Privacy Policy explains how Cadence Sensor handles information.

In short: Cadence Sensor does not collect, store, sell, or transmit any personal information. Everything the app does happens on your own devices.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using Cadence Sensor, you acknowledge that you have read and understood it.

2. Information We Collect

Cadence Sensor does not collect any personal information. We designed the app to operate entirely on your own devices.

2.1 Information You Provide

Cadence Sensor does not ask you to create an account or sign in, and does not request your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or any other personal information. There is no registration, login, or profile.

2.2 Information Processed Through the App

To measure your cadence, Cadence Sensor reads motion data (such as accelerometer readings) from your Apple Watch's sensors, with your permission. This data is processed in real time, entirely on your Apple Watch, solely to calculate your current RPM. It is never sent to us, never stored on our servers, and never used to identify you. Your cadence may be shared over Bluetooth only with the devices and apps you choose to connect (see Section 4).

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

Cadence Sensor does not automatically collect any information. It contains no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no tracking technologies, and no usage logging sent to us or any third party. We do not operate servers that receive data from the app.

3. How We Use Information

Because Cadence Sensor does not collect personal information, we do not use, analyze, or monetize any personal information. Motion data is used only on your device, in real time, to calculate and display your cadence and to broadcast it to the apps and devices you connect.

4. On-Device Processing and Bluetooth

All cadence sensing and calculation happen locally on your Apple Watch. The app relays your live cadence to its companion app on your iPhone and can broadcast it over Bluetooth — using standard cadence-sensor protocols — to nearby fitness and VR apps and devices that you connect, such as HOLOFIT, VZFIT, or a bike computer. This broadcast happens at your direction and contains only your live cadence value; it includes no personal information. Products you connect to are operated by other companies and are governed by their own privacy policies. Cadence Sensor is not affiliated with HOLOFIT, VZFIT, or Apple, and those names are trademarks of their respective owners.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

Cadence Sensor does not share information with third-party service providers, AI or processing services, analytics providers, or cloud-hosting providers, because it does not collect or transmit personal information. The only third parties that ever receive data are the fitness or VR apps and devices you personally choose to connect to over Bluetooth, as described in Section 4.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not collect personal information, so we have nothing to sell, rent, share, or disclose to third parties for any purpose, including marketing. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Data Security

Because your motion and cadence data never leave your Apple Watch — other than the Bluetooth broadcast you initiate — there is no personal data held on our servers that could be exposed. The app relies on the security of your Apple devices and the standard Bluetooth protocols used by fitness equipment. No method of electronic communication is 100% secure, but Cadence Sensor minimizes risk by keeping your data on your own devices.

8. Data Retention

Cadence Sensor does not retain any personal data, because it does not collect any. Cadence readings are transient and are processed in real time as you ride. Any ride information you keep stays on your own device, under your control, and is removed when you delete the app.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Since we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, port, or delete on your behalf. You remain fully in control: you can revoke Cadence Sensor's access to Motion & Fitness or Bluetooth at any time in your device's Settings, and you can remove all app data by uninstalling the app.

10. International Data Transfers

Cadence Sensor does not transmit personal information off your device, so no international transfer of your personal data takes place.

11. Children's Privacy

Cadence Sensor is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and because the app collects no personal information, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. California Privacy Rights

We do not collect, sell, or share personal information, so California residents have no personal information held by us to request, delete, or opt out of selling. Should this ever change, we would update this policy and honor all rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

13. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of Cadence Sensor after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
